The New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles (NH-DMV) is warning the public of a speeding ticket scam.   Some NH residents have reported receiving fraudulent emails asking for money for outstanding (bogus) speeding tickets.  These emails have included  the NH Department of Transportation’s logo and indicate that the recipients will face criminal investigation if they don’t send payment.  The Department of Transportation noted that they never send emails in regards to payment of traffic violations.

If you receive the email, delete it and do not reply or click any link within the email.  If you have already responded or clicked on a link, contact us and/or review materials at the Federal Trade Commission
